Last few days

Been playing a lot on a laptop at my mother-in-laws
Been doing well the last couple of days, won a 45man SnG, min placed in two 500+30 tourneys (both with over 1900+ runners) finished roughly 200 in both.
Also played in a qualifier for the APPT Manila last night - got bored just before it started so went all in 5 or so hands to start with, and one of the other guys really started to rile me up.

Ended up taking it serious and finished in the top 20 chipstacks, won't be able to play in round 2 though as I won't have a net connection by then probably.

Managed to get on to a laptop and play in Sunday's second round of the APPT Manila tournament.
Was going pretty well through most of it, and was about 50/108 left (100 was the money) when this hand happened

I was dealt KhJh in the SB
player to my left was all in on the BB
1 other player entered the pot and I called.

flop comes J J 6, so was a good flop for me. I bet around 1800, they minraised and I went all-in.
They call showing QxJx so I'm the favourite.
Then out came another Q, no help for me on the river and I'm out in 108th.

Gutted that I didn't make it into the money so I could play some proper MTT's again

Slow going

Haven't been on much recently as we are moving house on Friday, so lots of packing being done.

However I did manage to get online and play in a qualifier for the APPT Manila last night.
Managed to make it into the top 100 to get a seat in the 2nd round on Sunday. Not sure if I'll be able to play or not, but will try.

Only 1 hand sticks out in my mind from last night that really annoyed me - playing in a 45 man SnG play money.

Last night

Well as I said in the first post I created this blog mostly due to this beat last night

Was playing in the freeroll tournament for the APPT Auckland event.

I'd missed the first couple of hands while watching the end of a tv show, and must of been in the blinds as I was down to 1455 chips (from the 1500 starting stack)
So I sit down and first hand I get the rockets.
Folds to a player in MP they limp.
I raise to 120
BB reraises to 390
Call from MP
I raise to 1455 (all-in)
Both BB and MP calls
Show cards time
I of course have AA
BB has 22
and MP has Q2
so I'm thinking I'm a huge favourite as BB only has 1 out

I'm now thinking FFS what do I have to do to win a pot?
of course the river and turn both blank for me and I'm out of the tourney

This was after Monday night, all in iso-raise againist a short stack with KK
he called and showed 10 7 off, and of course hit 772 on the flop

Hello and welcome to my new blog Rantings from the (virtual) Felt.

I decided to create this blog after a poker tournament last night when I had a really bad beat and it really put me on tilt. This was after another the night before. So while sitting in bed last night, I decided that to get it all out of me and stop me blowing up, I"ll create a blog and vent everything there :)
